Maybe the most purist strains really still are hardcore's logical conclusion.

But, I think most grindcore bands have at least a tiny bit of death metal to their sound. On the other hand, of course, grind made death faster and noisier (much the same way that hardcore kept heavy metal from getting lost up its own ass forever).Bill Willingham IV, Esquirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13867217033974730914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8423175970439780764.post-14288899882129806752009-08-28T23:55:41.364-04:002009-08-28T23:55:41.364-04:00she won't listen to grind, but she can at leas...she won't listen to grind, but she can at least appreciate it for what it is.PatrickDMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13138399896045505593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8423175970439780764.post-32292609445090807122009-08-28T20:25:15.016-04:002009-08-28T20:25:15.016-04:00and here i thought i was the only guy whose wife c...and here i thought i was the only guy whose wife couldn't appreciate the vast subtle differences between phobia and catheter.Andrew Childershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09817760227836086070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8423175970439780764.post-20971772422930338762009-08-27T09:50:36.670-04:002009-08-27T09:50:36.670-04:00yeah, dead kennedys and black flag is where i got ...yeah, dead kennedys and black flag is where i got my start. If it doesn't have those punk style riffs, that's when I feel it leaning towards death metal or something else. In an article in decibel, Scott Carlson described Insect Warfare's sound as a band of mosquitoes playing death metal. What about vocal style?
