Grindcore Bracketology 3: The 1-8 Matchups

There must be something about news of a new Squash Bowels album that does it to me because I have the flu yet again. But I won't let a little thing like leaking from orifices I never knew existed stop me from kicking off this year's bracketology. You'll just have to forgive me if I keep it short and sweet.
Here are the 1-8 matchups. You have until Sunday to vote here or at the Facebook page. Have at it.

THE GEEZERS

More Metal
1. Repulsion-Horrified v. 8. Enemy Soil-Casualties of Progress

Repulsion-Horrified
Napalm Death-Scum
Discordance Axis-The Inalienable Dreamless
Insect Warfare-World Extermination

External Habitation is the only record I'm not familiar with. I'm pretty sure it woulnd't outrank World Extermination anyway.
Pretty easy choices overall, though I'm sad to let go of ENT so soon in the race.

More Metal: enemy soil, repulsions is great but enemy soil blows them out of he water

more Punk: Napalm, although i'm not the biggest fan of scum i'd definatley put it higher than ENT

More Arty: Discordance Axis, if you vote otherwise i don't know what you're doing with your life

More Farty: Insect warfare, because i think this album should win the whole thing, because it's by far my favourite grind album ever, it's perfect and in my books it's already won, but i'm still gonna vote

More Metal: Horrified. In the running for favorite album of any genre. As soon as I hear the first sustained notes I get goosebumps and the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I get a strong urge to either lift weights or get wasted and mosh. Unfuckwithable in every sense. Rare in grind, too, is the ability to just take individual songs off an album and have them stand alone. No knock against Enemy Soil, though.

More Punk: I'll have to abstain here, as the only ENT I've heard was their Peel Sessions.

More Arty: TID. That Liberteer album is something I just recently got into, but TID is TID.

More Farty: World Extermination. Nothing but giant fuck-you riff after giant fuck-you riff. Cellgraft was rad, too, but I enjoy their full-length more than any of their other stuff. Also, the guitar tone on External Habitation gives me a headache.

Horrified, Scum, The Inalienable Dreamless, and World Extermination. This week's bracket is going to be a blowout in all four categories. The only dissenting vote I've seen is the one for the Enemy Soil album instead of the Repulsion. And to that I say c'mon, it's Repulsion!

1 Repulsion
Horrified is one of a kind. One of the catchiest grind albums out there as well.
2 Napalm Death
Tough choice, reckon ENT should have been placed higger than 8 but it's hard to beat Bill Steer and Justin Broadrick grinding on the same album.
3 D.A.
First time I've heard Liberteer and I like it but still nowhere near the Inalienable Dreamless
4 Insect Warfare
Again, like the Cellgraft but doesn't come close.

ENEMY SOIL - never really liked Repulsion, sorry :/

Napalm Death - classic!!!

Discordance Axis - ftw (sucks to be Liberteer)

Insect Warfare - everything about this record is bestial.
Though I do love Cellgraft, they didn't last long enough to develop their songwriting to compete with classics like TID and World Extermination.

Repulsion cuase I could circle pit to Radiation Sickness all day.

Scum One of the first extreme metal albums I ever heard. Blew my shit apart. Few bands can match all those chaotic climaxes and the pure urgency.

The Alien Dreamcast dur dur.

World Extermination Masters beat the pupil into submission.
